ORDER:

            The following Notification will be published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette.

                                                            NOTIFICATION

            Whereas the 100% Export Oriented Units approved by the Government of India nad the units set up in the Export Processing Zone established with the approval of the Government of India has been declared to be a public utility service fo the purpose of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (Central Act XIV of 1947), for a period of six months upto and inclusive of the 14.2.2002 in the Labour and Employment Department Notification No.II (E)/LE/618/2001 dated 15.8.2002 published at page 310 of Part II Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated 13^th August, 2001.

            And whereas, the Governor of Tamil Nadu is of opinion that Public interest requires the extension of the said period for a further period of six months.

             Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub clauses (vi) of clause (n) of section 2 read with the provision thereto of the said Act, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby extends the period specified above for a further period of six months commencing from the date of publication of the Notif8ication in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette.
